Every gallon of Cenex Roadmaster XL® Premium Highway Diesel Fuel contains a special additive to meet the tough demands of today’s engine technology.

In engines designed to meet new Environmental Protection Agency emission standards, increased pressure and temperatures can literally “cook” typical #2 diesel fuel, resulting in injector/filter problems, reduced efficiency and costly repairs. We are proud to offer a premium fuel that helps alleviate this problem experienced in modernized diesel engines (2007 models and newer).

Cenex Roadmaster XL is also designed to optimize performance and reduce downtime in all diesel engines. In fact, no other diesel fuel contains a more complete, balanced and quality additive package. Compared to typical #2 diesel fuel, Cenex Roadmaster XL:

Renewable Fuels

Ethanol
CHS is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of ethanol-enhanced gasoline. In fact, through our network of Cenex-branded retailers, we’re the nation’s largest retailer of E85 ethanol and other alternative fuel blends.

Ethanol is one of the most popular alternative fuels in the country today. Made from renewable, domestic resources such as corn, wheat or barley, ethanol is traditionally blended with petroleum fuel in a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline called E10. E10 is approved by almost every auto manufacturer in the world under their warranty programs. Higher concentrates, such as E85, 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, are compatible only with flexible-fuel vehicles.

Ethanol–blended fuel has a higher octane and produces fewer harmful emissions than standard fuel. In fact, a blend with just 10% ethanol reduces emissions by up to 25%. In addition to the environmental benefits, using ethanol also helps expand the market for agricultural products and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. In fact, every 283 gallons of 10% ethanol–blended gasoline replaces one barrel of oil.

E-85 is available through select Cenex locations.

Biodiesel
Biodiesel has been one of the fastest growing alternative fuels in the country. And it’s no wonder. Often made from the soybeans produced here in the United States, biodiesel provides superior engine protection from a renewable, domestic source.

We’ve proudly introduced advances in biodiesel, such as Cenex Ruby Fieldmaster B2® premium biodiesel fuel — an innovative biodiesel that delivers premium performance. Cenex Premium Biodiesels offer the same time and field tested benefits as our premium diesels, in a biodiesel blend. These biodiesel products are available through select Cenex Distributors.
